About The Zuardian

The Zuardian is an independent New Zealand news and entertainment publication at zuardian.co.nz. We cover New Zealand and world news, sport, beauty, culture, lifestyle and sourced celebrity news (“The Goss”).

About the name

Yes, it is a play on The Guardian, and no, we are not that Guardian. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Guardian Media Group or The Guardian in the UK, US or Australia. We are the Zuardian, made in Aotearoa New Zealand, for New Zealanders. Say it like you would say “guardian”, with a Z.

What we do

We publish original reporting and commentary, we attribute our sources, and we correct our mistakes quickly and openly. Read our Editorial policy, Corrections policy and Ethics and fact-checking standards.
